Dear Rancho Santa Fe Rotarians,
It is with great pleasure I welcome Dr. Elizabeth Christensen as our new 2021-22 President-Elect. Paulette Britton and Norma Wieberg are slated respectfully for 2022-23 and 2023-24.
As many of you know, Elizabeth has been married to Rand for many years. Known professionally as Dr. Christensen, she started her Optometric practice in Rancho Santa Fe in 1983. Their two children, Emily and Eric were born soon after— growing up in Encinitas. Elizabeth joined Rotary in 1994 sponsored by Dr. George Groth.
She spent most of her early volunteer time with groups that her kids were involved in, sports, Music Council, and School Site Council, serving as president and treasurer in many organizations. She renewed her involvement in Rotary when her kids left home. She is currently working part-time at Rancho Santa Fe Optometry and is looking forward to serving as president of our great Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club.
I have no doubt that Elizabeth will be an incredible leader and mentor for our membership. I look forward to helping
her train in the next 5 months to prepare for this wonderful opportunity.
