Radioimmunotherapy Research at the UCSD Center for Precision Radiarion Medicine

Dr. Mell is Professor and Vice Chair of UC San Diego’s Department of Radiation Medicine, and Director of the Center for Precision Radiation Medicine in La Jolla. He is principal investigator for numerous clinical trials and grants funded by the National Institutes of Health, private foundations, and industry, and is lead editor of the textbook, Principles of Clinical Cancer Research. An author of more than 250 scholarly publications, Dr. Mell’s research focuses on effects of radiation on the immune system, clinical trials of immunotherapy and image-guided radiation therapy, and novel personalized approaches to cancer treatment.
